Insanity & running/biking today. It will happen.
Yesterday was day 1! It was the fitness test, which was fun to do. I’m really excited to see what kind of progress I can make in 2 weeks. I’m planning on doing insanity every day, and then I’ll also be playing soccer monday & thursday nights with a game sometime on the weekend. I gotta change up my ways a little bit!
Happy Tuesday :)
Holy crap, so much has happened and I’ve been so busy that my little blog was put on the back burner. SO here’s what has happened.
I guess the point of this post was to say that I’ve gained. A lot. Like, I was 168 yesterday morning. This has all happened in like, the past month. HOWEVER, I ate really well yesterday/worked out/had a good day, and the scale told me that I weighed 167lbs today. So, slight victory for me. Because come on, you guys, I go home for spring break in less than 2 weeks. I neeeeeed to get my shit back together! It will happen. It is happening. Today has been good so far so props to me, right? Right. Okay, that’s enough ranting for now. I’m so sorry I’ve been MIA! Don’t give up on me guys. I’m still continuing my journey!
PS. SO sorry for the half assed grammar/punctuation on this one.

It went surprisingly well, actually. I did just as the doctor said and started out with riding the bike on a low resistance. I rode for an hour but I was kind of bored the whole time. Unfortunately my leg was pretty sore on the walk back but I’m hoping it will be 100% really soon! Muscles are so tricky to heal :(
Relapse is a part of recovery.
This is so important to remember.
It is OKAY if you relapse. It doesn’t erase all the hard work you’ve done. You haven’t failed. It doesn’t make you weak. Don’t give up, and don’t give in. Take a deep breath and try again tomorrow.

I got the prettiest flowers from a boy back home. The best part? I had no idea I would be getting them! It was an amazing surprise. Best Valentine’s Day ever! :)
Ahh! I haven’t been on here in a couple of days. I’ve been slacking big time. I tore my quad, caught a nasty cold, etc etc. Tomorrow will be different! I will eat right, especially since I can’t work out due to said injury. Don’t lose faith in me guys!
So, remember that charity soccer tournament I played in today? Well, it didn’t go so well.
I tore my quad.
I’m SO mad. I felt it happen. I knew something wasn’t right. So, I subbed out and sat on the bench for a while & then I decided I needed to go to the doctor.
Vastus lateralus & vastus intermedius (thank you anatomy & physiology class) are partially torn. In a couple days, I can get in the pool and walk for exercise. In a week, maybe, if it feels like its getting better, I can get on a bike with little to no resistance. And I can’t run for a couple weeks.
The doctor said the easier I take it, the faster it’ll heal. I’m so frustrated because I’ve been so diligent about working out each day.
He also said I’ll get some crazy bruising on my leg sometime within the next couple of days.
So for the past 4-5 hours I’ve been sitting on my bed watching Gossip Girl and Worst Cooks with frozen peas on my leg.
This also means I’ll have to sit out of my club soccer practices for a while. It’ll be really frustrating for me to just sit and watch.
Well, my followers, I hope your Saturday went better than mine.
This is just another obstacle for me to overcome in this journey.
I’m playing in a benefit soccer tournament today! It’ll be super casual but I’m excited to kick the ball around with some of my friends :) It’ll be a fun way to get some exercise in today!
